Mauro is originally from Taormina, Sicilia, Italia. He enjoys correcting his American colleagues on how to properly pronounce the names of Italian foods (there is no X in ESPRESSO). His favorite city is Rome and he has spent many years there studying the ancient art of Filmmaking. Before moving to the US, he worked as a director and editor for different institutions around Europe and since then has worked on very different and diverse projects, including directing extremely low-budget feature length films. Mauro currently focuses on editing as well as managing the post-production department at Short Order Productions.
Aside from filmmaking, Mauro has other aspirations. He dreams of one day opening a small bistro. He would like to name it “Il Giardino degli Ulivi (Olive Garden).” No one has told Mauro that this name is already taken. Please do not destroy his dreams.
